Brian Chesky, co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, has announced plans to expand beyond just short-term rentals, and even beyond travel.
One of the future places for expansion will be longer term stays, currently about 17% of stays are 30 days or longer, higher than pre-pandemic levels. Chesky describes stays of 30 to 90 days as a huge growth opportunity for Airbnb, and is focusing on the next generation of experiences.
