ASAP wants to extend congratulations to The Labour Party for last week’s election victory.
Incoming ministers of note for our sector include Angela Rayner, Deputy Prime Minister, and Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
We’ve written to Ms Rayner today, following our meeting last November (pictured) when she was interested to find more about our sector.
This meeting encouraged us to finish our Independent Review of the Role and Value of the serviced apartment sector in the UK
As the report shows, our industry contributes around £1.7bn to the economy in the UK and employs over 6,000 people within the hospitality and key accommodation sector. And as our Members serve the valuable business travel, relocation, film, insurance, and emergency housing industries among others, we are sure the incoming government will understand we want to ensure the sector isn’t adversely affected by any future legislative changes.
