ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards 2016

Q1: Our organisation has not entered for the ASAP Serviced Apartments Industry Awards 2016  before. What do we do?

Choose which category you wish to enter. Consider which criteria fits closest with your organisation.

Complete all sections of the entry form and upload supporting evidence documents as required. Submit your entry form and any supporting documents to awards@theasap.org.uk by 5pm on the 22nd July 2016.

Q2: Does our organisation have to be an ASAP member to enter the ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards 2016?

A: No – Entry is FREE and open to all and not restricted to ASAP members. The only category where this restriction applies is the Serviced Apartment Guest Experience Award which is only open to members of The ASAP.

Q3: What period of activity do the awards cover?

A: Unless otherwise stated entries should reflect work undertaken since 1st September 2014 – to date.

Q4: What type of award should we apply for?

A: Ensure that you apply for an award that accurately reflects your organisation.

For example, if your business has less than 50 employees you would not enter the Serviced Apartment Business of the Year Award – Corporate, but select the SME category. Three years accounts are required only for the Business of the Year Awards.

Note: while there is no limit on the number of categories you can enter, we recommend submitting no more than 3 entries.

Q5: Can we nominate an individual or individuals for the Lifetime Achievement Award?

A: No – the recipient of this award will be chosen by the specialist judging panel.

Q6: If our application is successful what will our award be?

A: The winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner. Should you win an award you will receive a trophy, if you do not win and you have been shortlisted, you will receive a certificate with special commendations from the judging panel.

Q7: Our organisation has previously entered the ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards, can we resubmit our entries from previous years with updated collateral?

A: You can certainly re-submit previously written submissions but be mindful that our criteria may have changed, so please read these closely and ensure that your previous entries adhere to these requirements. Of course, the submission should be relevant to the date we are evaluating, i.e. since 1st September 2014 – to date.

Q8: Is there any cost to entering the awards?

A: No – the awards are completely free to enter. A cost will be incurred should you decide to attend the Gala Dinner where the winners will be announced.

Q8: The award criteria requires that we submit sensitive or confidential documents, can we be certain that these documents will remain private?

A: Yes, you can rest assured all entries and supporting materials will be treated with the strictest confidence by our judges, ASAP is registered under Data Protection (registration number ZA184759)  and can confirm that inline with such policies once our deliberations have been completed all documents will be destroyed.

Q9: Will feedback be provided for every entry?

A: No – the judges will not automatically provide feedback on each entry, successful or not. Should you require feedback please submit a request separately and this will be considered by the judging panel but will not affect your entry.

Q10. When will I find out if I have won?

The winners and finalists will be announced on the evening of 30th November at the Awards ceremony and Gala Dinner at The Museum of London. Details about the event can be found HERE
