ASAP is delighted to welcome with immediate effect a new Chair and new Deputy Chair.
Keith Freeman, Managing Director at Staycity Aparthotels, has stepped up as Chair, succeeding Steve Lowy, CEO of Anglo Educational Services and Founder/CEO of The Residence Apartments. Darryl Walker of edyn joins him as Deputy.
James Foice, ASAP CEO, says: “I am delighted to welcome Keith and Darryl to their new roles. They bring a wealth of experience, vision, and a deep commitment to ASAP’s growth. This is an exciting time for the Association as we work to shape our strategic direction going forward and build on the amazing achievements over the past year. I know that in Keith, Darryl and the other incoming Board members, we find ourselves in very good hands.”
Three new Advisory Board members have also been appointed, following a voting process amongst ASAP Members. Michelle Jackson, Group Operations Manager UK for PREM Hospitality and Laura Moore, Regional Director of Sales at Switch Hospitality, join as ASAP Operator Member representatives, while Jake Bone, Director of Operations, EMEA – Corporate Housing, Dwellworks, has taken up the non-voting ASAP Agent Member role.
Keith Freeman says: “I am delighted to succeed Steve Lowy as Chair and will do my best to continue his work guiding ASAP’s continued global growth strategy and the ongoing work with policymakers in the short-let sector. ASAP’s recent Independent Review is still making waves, and the work with the ASAP Focus Groups on policy, data, sustainability, and the sector in Europe and worldwide is exciting.
“This is a great time to be involved in this dynamic and growing sector, and in its trade body. I’m looking forward to taking the helm.”
James Foice continues: “It is hard to express strongly enough the whole team’s gratitude to retiring Chair Steve Lowy, whose mastery in political situations and sheer force of personality have been an essential part of ASAP’s success over the last two years. I must also thank retiring AB members Julie Madison and Sally Brading, whose great humour and insight have been both infectious and invaluable.
“I hope all three stay a part of the wider Board and continue to play a part in our future as we keep this momentum going.”
