The latest Global Business Travel Review from The Advantage Travel Partnership and Travelogix considered performance in the first half of 2024, and found new transactions were 17.3% higher than in H1 2023, bettering the most ambitious forecast of a 15.5% increase year-on-year.
In contrast the average transaction value fell by 2.7% from £428.82 in H1 2023 to £417.54 in the first six months of 2024, and trip duration fell from 6.95 days in 2023 to 5.76 days for the first half of 2024, down 17.39%.
In summary, more bookings were made in H1 2024 but at a lower average value than in H1 2023.
