Details of the online registration scheme for short-term lets, including how it will operate, who will run it, and measures to make it effective, are likely to be announced by April in an effort to crack down on Airbnb-style lets in London, to ease the capital’s housing crisis.
Up to two out of three, totalling around 9,300 short-term lets a year in the borough of Westminster alone, have been in breach of the 90-night rule.
