Traditionally the choice of business travellers and relocation companies, the Serviced Accommodation sector started to find a new popularity among regular leisure guests during the pandemic. Self-contained, with their own kitchen, laundry and relaxation spaces, serviced apartments and aparthotels avoided the need for mixing with strangers or having to quit the apartment for daily housekeeping.
THE ASAP PILLARS
Nature can be fully saved through love from people
By joining the first and only membership organisation for the professional Serviced Apartment sector, ASAP Members sign our Code of Conduct which calls on them to operate safely and transparently, representing their properties honestly and keeping insurances and safety standards updated at all times.
And we go one step further. We know our Members personally; and are proud to represent this professionally managed sector to their own customers. Together we are driving the sector towards being a safe, inclusive, modern industry which delivers on its customer service and quality promises.
As part of this, we have recognised there are three pillars we can promote and live by, complementing the business traveller’s aspirations to travel safely again.
These are People, Planet and Principles, and they inform and lead everything we do as an organisation and as a trade body.
People
ASAP Members are our main focus, but also their own guests, travel buyers, the staffing challenges faced across hospitality, our Industry Suppliers, sponsors and partners. It’s all about People.
Planet
Sustainability must be at the forefront of everyone’s activity, as the hospitality industry recovers; from how we travel to how we run our events, from how we purchase to how we dispose. We are all on an ESG journey.
Principles
Standards in the hospitality industry, and especially our own sector, are paramount. We always support and promote Accreditation and good practice across the sector, and diversity, inclusivity and equity
Who is ASAP?
ASAP is the not-for-profit trade body representing professional serviced apartment operators worldwide, who sign up to our Code of Conduct and share our aims.
This is to ensure those buying accommodation recognise the safety and added value of serviced apartments, and when they see the ASAP marque displayed, they realise they can stay with confidence.
Our aspiration is that those we represent will seek out a recognised form of quality accreditation, giving consumers and buyers further reassurance around health, safety, and pandemic awareness.
Our Members offer self-contained, self-catering accommodation which usually offers more flexibility and more space than a traditional hotel room; and being part of a forward-looking, proactive growing sector, that accommodation is professionally managed with help available 24/7, and offers innovative and modern solutions for any traveller.
As a body, we’re proud to have brought together a community of like-minded hospitality professionals who are at any one time supportive, diverse, inclusive, and operate with integrity.
